Operations Manager

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Head of Operations to lead our event delivery team and ensure the organisation consistently delivers high-quality events while developing people, improving collaboration, and maintaining operational excellence. This role is not primarily focused on project management or direct event execution. Instead, it is responsible for leading the team responsible for delivery, ensuring priorities are clear, people are supported, teams are aligned, and potential issues are identified and resolved before they become problems. The role acts as the operational bridge between the CEO and the delivery organisation.

Key Responsibilities

·         Lead and develop the event delivery team.

·         Run one-to-ones, performance conversations, and coaching.

·         Build accountability, ownership, and high standards.

·         Ensure priorities, deadlines, budget and objectives remain aligned.

·         Identify risks, bottlenecks, resource constraints, and operational challenges early.

·         Coordinate effectively with Sales, Design, Marketing, and Leadership.

·         Resolve competing priorities and organizational challenges.

·         Ensure that project team can plan and deliver events within their allocated budget.

·         Accountable for overall project standards and goals.

·         Contribute to Strategic direction and leadership of the company

·         The delivery team operates effectively with clear priorities and ownership.

·         Team members are supported, developed, and performing at a high level.

·         Operational challenges are identified and addressed before they impact delivery.

·         Cross-functional collaboration is strong and productive.

·         Events are delivered consistently to a high standard.

·         The CEO remains informed without day-to-day operational involvement.

Requirements

·         Must have experience leading and developing teams.

·         Strong people management and coaching skills.

·         Experience running operations, delivery, or service teams.

·         Track record of improving processes, accountability, and performance.

·         Detail oriented + extremely organized

·         Ability to work across multiple projects at once.

·         Great communication Skills

·         Good IT and technical skills.

·         Ability and interest in travel for work.

The Details:

Location: Ringön, Gothenburg, Sweden.

Position: Full Time

Reports to: CEO

Number of Reports: 3-5 (both local and remote workers)

Start date: October-November

Salary: from 40,000 SEK
